(Morgan Hill, CA) - Blake Simpson, (12), broke Josh Prenot's 11-12 1000 yard Freestyle record last weekend while swimming at the Far Western Age Group Championships. Simpson also swam the 200, 500 and 1650 Freestyles, narrowly missing Prenot's record in the 1650. The meet brings together the fastest age group swimmers from across the Western parts of the United States. Josh Prenot currently swims for Cal-Berkeley and went on to be a member of the USA National Team....so Blake is keeping some good company with his new record.
